Some simulation results at high Re †
A falling object at Re=800 †
- with volume rendering visualization of magnitudes of fluid velocity (=abs(vx,vy,vz))
- with visualization of fluid velocity on a central plane as vectors
- without visualization of fluid
- 128 x 128 x 256 grids x 200,000 steps => 4 hours on 6 core intel CPU.
- The size of falling body is 40 (L) x 16 (W) x 4 (D) in the unit of CFD grid.
- The density of falling body is 1.5 times heavier than the fluid.
